The Various Types Of Foam Travel Pillows

Foam Travel Pillow

When you travel often, it can be a pain in the neck literally. This is why having a good foam travel pillow can be of immense help to you in relieving sore necks, aches and pains every time you need to travel.

Foam travel pillows come in many different shapes and sizes, but their core function remains the same. They are designed to provide support for your head and neck, as well as being compact enough for you to take with you when you travel. While previously you would have to contend with drooling on your neighbour when you fall asleep, or bobbing your head and jerking awake each time, you no longer need to suffer when you get  yourself a good travel pillow.

The Different Types of Travel Pillows

When it comes to foam travel pillows, the most common one is the memory foam travel pillow. If you don't know what memory foam is, it is a material that conforms to the shape and weight of your body to provide you with ergonomic support. This is a pillow that many people love to use as it provides contoured comfort while resting on the plane, coach or train depending on your mode of travel.

You can use foam travel pillows for additional lower lumbar support or even as an extra pillow when you sleep in hotels. It is a great sleeping accessory to take along with you.

There is also the latex travel pillow. Made from latex, it has natural hypo-allergenic properties and is also dust-mite resistant. The best thing about latex travel pillows is they are usually machine washable! You get a healthy and comfortable sleeping environment when you take a latex travel pillow on your travels. When you are home, just throw this rubber travel pillow into the washing machine and you get a clean travel pillow in no time at all.

Other types of travel pillows that you can consider using on your next trip are an insulation travel pillow, a styrofoam travel pillow or even travel pillows made microbeads or buckwheat. You can pick a travelling neck pillow that best suits you and your personal needs from the many different brands available, like the Homedics memory foam neck pillow or even the Embrace Sleep Collar Travel Pillow that acts as a neck brace.

With so many different travel neck pillows available, you would be able to find one that gives you what you want. Better rest during your travels with no more neck or shoulder aches when you wake up.

Hi Wally, I have to agree about how nice it is to relax with a good pillow. Do you know of any good travel pillows that are compact enough to bring along? I've come across a few that seem small enough, but just don't provide the kind of support I'm looking for. I'm still searching for a good neck pillow though, cos I absolutely hate it when I get off the plane with a crick in the neck. Appreciate your suggestions!
